We spent such a nice Easter Sunday together yesterday. Our brunch menu included this delicious artichoke prosciutto frittata from Cuisine at Home that was so easy to make and so delicious. We also make Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and mimosas. It was so fun to make breakfast and eat a leisurely meal together.
The sweetest Easter bunny also visited me, and left me this great little basket full of egg-shaped produce that I love but never treat myself to:
(avocados, kiwi, kumquats)After breakfast, we made a run to Home Depot to try to rectify this situation:
Let me give you a little backstory here. Last year, we put in that planter bed, and I overfilled it with vegetables. I've gone back and forth all winter on my desire to do something nice with our little patch of garden. As a renter, I hate to spend money to beautify someone else's property, but at the same time, I'd like to have a nice little garden. Finally, my desire to create a little oasis behind our house won out, and Sunday we set to work weeding, turning up dirt, and putting in containers and another planter bed in an attempt to make a garden oasis for as little cash as possible. I'll post more picture of our progress once we get a little farther along. For now, though, I wanted to show you this little fellow who showed up once we went inside to take a break yesterday:
We seem to have upset something that he had hidden in the garden bed, since he dug furiously and fruitlessly for quite a while before he gave up and left.
Ah well. Before long, I'll have plenty of vegetables that he can steal.Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
