This weekend, we headed to a small market to help raise money for the Friends of the Pioneers Park Nature Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. A portion of our sales went to scholarships for summer nature camps for kids, a cause that I support wholeheartedly.
We had a wonderful time, with beautiful weather, cheerful visitors and lots of sweet comments about Katie Blair Designs. Plus, we got to set up in a room at the nature center full of rescued turtles, snakes and lizards, which made for plenty of entertainment. The big picture window in the back of the room looked out over a pond where geese were swimming and turtles were sunning themselves on logs. As you can see from C's turned head in the photo above, the scenery distracted us (in the best way!) all day.

I love Pioneers Park. What a great cause to spend some money on. Wish I would have been in Lincoln. Won't be back until May.
